Good day my dear bloggers!
Today I'd like to reflect on being thankful. Its really so simple yet can be so easily forgotton. The word has much to say about being thankful.
Psalm 140:13 (kjv)
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name
Psalm 79:13 (nkjv)
So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations.
Psalm 92:1 (nkjv)
[ A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day. ] It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
there are so many verses and chapters that speak of the importance of being thankful people. It seems to be a basic essential to being a righteous man/woman. It should flow from us like blood flows through our veins!
Sometimes, we may face challenges and busy schedules and cares to boot, and its in these times we should give even MORE thanks! Just remember, there is always someone busier, or poorer, or going through worse than you are, and be thankful for what IS good! Really, if you have Christ dwelling in your heart, there is nothing more you need in order to give thanks. I think its easy to praise the Lord and say thankyou for the big things. When your finances somehow pick up and you somehow have enough, when your Children are displaying Godly behavior and it seems your constant guidance and biblical discipline is finally paying off... when your grandma beats a sickness that could have overtaken her. You know, big things. Its then only natural and easy to say "Thank You God!" but lets strive to be the kind of women who thank God for the little things. The seemingly insignificant things or just the things we take for granted. "Thank You Lord for the rain, we need it!" "Thank You Lord for my car, it makes my life SO much easier!" "thank You Lord for my children's health. They are so terrifically well and able to enjoy life, and I appreciate your sovereign blessing that enables that!"
Lets take a breath today to stop and be thankful for everything we have, dont have and will have. God is good and worthy of our praise and thanksgiving!
Today I am greatful for:
excuse me ladies I have some praising to do!

Today I am greatful for:
- the sun in the sky... its so much nicer for my daughter to play in the sun than the dreary cloudy weather, and I enjoy the sunshine too! So do my plants!
- The air i breathe. Praise God we live in a Country that isnt riddled with overly-polluted air and we can step outside knowing we are safe to breathe! some people dont have that basic right!
- My home. The comfortable warm bed I get to slip into each night (oh sweet Lord!), the fridge full of nutritious food for my family, the bookshelf stocked up with books full of the wisdom of God for our learning and growth, the shower, the mirrors, the carpet, everything, im thankful for a home to live in and enjoy, and what a home it is! truly blessed!
- my Grandmother. She is still alive and well, and an absolute treasure. Thankyou Lord for keeping her here! may she have many more years to come!
- My marriage. In a world of divorce and selfishness I have a wonderful marriage that God is using to change and grow us daily in. Thankyou Lord!
- My daughter and the child in my belly right now....I dont even have words for this one!
- My eyesight. yes, my eyesight. Im so glad im not blind! I love seeing the beauty around me, and being able to read and write!
- My mobile phone. Hubby doesnt have to miss out on his daughters day all because he is at work. We can send pictures, and talk to each other throughout the day. Not so long ago, families didnt have that blessing! Im greatful for it!
excuse me ladies I have some praising to do!
